Our Preschool
We welcome you to visit and tour our site to see if our preschool is the right fit for your child. We guarantee you will fall in love!

Kids Town is a full-day, year-round preschool in Koreatown for 72 children, ages 2.5 to 5 years. Through our Whole Child program, we focus not only on intellectual development, but also emotional well-being, social skills and physical activity. By nurturing children’s creativity and imagination by letting them explore their interests, we foster a lifelong love of learning. Since its establishment in 2004, Kids Town has graduated over 1,000 Kindergarten-ready students.

Our educational philosophy emphasizes respect for other cultures, concern for the wider community, and an appreciation for nature. We allow children to move through the program at their own pace.

In 2016, Kids Town also implemented our Multilingual Immersion Program with the generous support of The Carl & Roberta Deutsch Foundation. Currently, Kids Town has a Dual Language Program in Korean and English; we will transition to a Trilingual Program, which will include Spanish and English by 2019.

Children can choose from a variety of teacher-directed and child-initiated activities in different interest areas: sand and water exploration, dramatic play, library time, listening stations, science, blocks, manipulatives, art, carpentry, music, movement, sensory activities, cooking, gardening and outdoor play. These activities are designed to promote self-esteem, independent learning and friendships.

Kids Town teachers take the time to get to know your child and family. We encourage parent involvement in the classrooms and our Family Advocacy program offers workshops in early childhood development and elementary school choices.

We are especially proud of our exemplary teacher retention rate; out of our 11 teachers, the average length of time with the school is seven years. This creates consistency in the curriculum and a safe and stable environment for our preschoolers, many who are venturing into an environment outside of their homes for the first time. We have an 8:1 student-to-teacher ratio and all of our teachers are bilingual in Spanish or Korean.
